JUNE NEWS UPDATE

It was a massive honour for Casey and his band to be invited to perform and be part of the opening ceremony for the 1st AFL game at the brand new Metricon Stadium between the Gold Coast Suns and Geelong on the weekend. You can now view all the photos on Casey's official facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/CaseyBarnesOfficial The exciting news is he'll be performing at Metricon Stadium for most home games for the Suns this season with the next one being June 11th when the Suns play North Melbourne then again on July 9th (Suns v Swans) and 23rd (Suns v Collingwood). With Casey already being such a huge football fan it's an exciting time to be part a club in their first year in the AFL!

QLD Flood Appeal - Raising Funds

13th Jan 2011: I've been sitting at home over the last week or so wondering what I can do to help with whats going on with the devastating floods here in Queensland. I've made a cash donation like so many others but wanted to do more on a bigger scale. I recorded 'Never Break You' just before Christmas with a good friend of mine Mark Duckworth and I was planning to release it later this year but given the subject matter of the song it would be selfish of me not to get it out and try and help right now. SO with the help of an amazing team of people we've been able to get this up on itunes today - ALL proceeds from the sale of this song will go directly to the Queensland Flood Appeal so I'm urging all Australians to get behind this. December is always a huge month on the music front and this year is no exception. Casey's latest single 'Coming Back To You' continues to do well and has received great support from radio stations all around the country and the music video has also featured on Video Hits, Landed Music and Rage over the past few weeks! Thanks to all the stations that are playing it and to everyone that has downloaded the single from iTunes so far!! You'll all be excited to know that Casey has also just finished recording a bunch of brand new material which will be set for release early in 2011!

Breaking News: The famous Burleigh Carols on the Gold Coast looked like not happening for the first time in 25 years but they are now back on next Sunday 12th December! Casey will be performing again this year alongside good friend and fellow Australian Idol finalist Stan Walker. Last year over 20,000 people attended so its expected to be another huge night!

Casey is finally getting back to his home state of Tassie for some shows over the coming few months with the first one being Saturday December 4th for the Sea FM Summer Beach Party in Burnie. Mat and Chloe Rogers are again holding their charity weekend in December for 4ASD Kids to help raise money for children with autism. Casey will be performing with his band on the 18th December for the gala ball at the Hyatt Sanctuary Cove and then alongside Guy Sebastian on the Sunday for the Sanctuary Cove Christmas Concert. Lots on the go this month!! Casey has just returned from a massive week on the road on the Sea FM Benchwarmers Bathurst Bandwagon where they broadcast live during the week each day from Coffs Harbour, Gosford, Dubbo and finally Bathurst for the big race. Casey also performed at a festival while he was away tied in with the Bathurst 1000. Lots of fun was had by all and a 3 part tv special which features Casey will go to air on The Benchwarmers OZ Made show in the coming few weeks on Southerncross Ten!

Thanks to all your support and votes Casey was lucky enough to win the APG Titans Power Stage competition and the $10,000 prize which he'll be putting towards both his next music video and EP. A massive thank you to everyone who voted for Casey in the APG Titans Power Stage competition!!! Casey was lucky enough to win the $10,000 prize which will be going straight to helping finance the next single and music video which will be shot later this month! Winning this competition has been a huge help so once again thanks to those that voted, Australian Power & Gas and also the Gold Coast Titans!

As previously mentioned, Casey will start shooting the clip for his next single later this month so we'll keep you posted on how that is all going and what date it'll be released!

Lots of exciting gigs coming up with Casey performing at the Vibe's Festival on the 18th of September. Then in early October look out for him on The Benchwarmers Bathurst Bandwagon where he'll be travelling from the Gold Coast (Oct 4th), and stopping in Coffs Harbour (Oct 5th), Central Coast (Oct 6th), Dubbo (Oct 7th) and then finishing in Bathurst (Oct 8th). The Miss V8 Supercars girls, Casey and The Benchwarmers will be stopping making appearances in each town!

Exciting news with Casey making the final 2 of the Titans 'Power Stage' competition! The Gold Coast Titans have had a different act perform at each home game this year with the public voting for their favourite act via the Titans website. Now down to the final 2, the winner gets a whopping $10,000 towards their music career which will potentially help with Casey's next single release and next video clip. Casey will perform again in the final Friday 6th Aug at the Titans next home game then we have 5 days to go to the Titans website to vote. Massive thanks to Video Hits and their support playing the video clip for 'I Promise' over the last month or so. Lots of new dates have just been added to the GIGS page with Casey also heading off to Townsville this month to play alongside a bunch of other ex Australian Idol finalists to help raise money for the Varity Bash up in North Queensland!

The track has been well received by radio stations all across the country and the music video featured on Hit List TV, Landed Music and the Benchwarmers Oz Made tv show last weekend! Look out for the video too this coming weekend 12th/13th of June on Channel Ten's Video Hits and keep requesting it at your local radio station. Thanks to everyone for their support so far!

APRIL 2011

A HUGE thanks goes out to all of Australia for getting behind Casey's latest single Never Break You. The single peaked at number 6 on the Australian ARIA Singles charts, Number 1 on the AIR music charts and during the week of it's release was the 7th most added track to radio across the country! You can now view the offical music video below and also Casey's appearance on The Today Show and The Circle are in the 'videos' section of the website. All of the money raised from the sale of this single is going directly to the Premiers Disaster Relief Appeal. Again a massive thank you goes out to everyone that has supported the song in the wake of the QLD floods and Cyclone Yasi.

Casey has just returned from a road trip up to North QLD to perform in Tully for the 'Yasi Bounce Back Benefit' concert. Thanks to Westpac for getting behind this event which also featured performances from fellow Idol finalist Hayley Warner and an appearance by Australian Cricketing legend Damien Martyn. It was a great initiative from Westpac to put the event on and brighten up the faces of the locals!

Casey will be doing a special on field performance at the GABBA on the 7th of May for the Gold Coast Suns block buster against the Brisbane Lions. It's a night game and expected to be a near sell out so make sure you get in early and grab your tickets!

Breaking news that Casey will be performing with his full band at the sold out Super Rugby Grand Final this Saturday the 9th of July at Suncorp Stadium! 52,000+ people expected at the ground with his performance also going live on TV via satellite to New Zealand which will be all part of the pre-game entertainment. REDS vs Crusaders - Queensland and most of Australia are hoping the Reds can get up for the win and it's set to be a massive night.

In more exciting news for July Casey will be performing pre-game at Metricon Stadium, the home of the Gold Coast SUNS when they take on Collingwood on the 23rd of July. This game is already a sell out with a huge crowd expected. You can also catch Casey and the band performing this month at the Greater Springfield Festival on the 16th of July and the Centenary Rocks Festival on the 24th of July. August Update

The major news for this month is that Casey is hitting the studio to start recording a bunch of brand new material with a new album now only a couple of months away! If you want to keep track of what's happening Casey will be keeping everyone updated via both his Twitter and Facebook pages throughout the recording process.

Casey and his band will be performing at the finale of the Springfield Lakes Winter Festival on the 13th August alongside good friend Stan Walker. This will be an all ages event and the festival will take place at Spring Lake Park from 4pm with a fireworks display to conclude the night!

You'll find lots more information on upcoming shows on the gigs page including another performance with the band at Metricon Stadium for the upcoming Gold Coast Suns v Adelaide clash on the 20th August then again on September 3rd for the final Suns home game when they meet Hawthorn.

September/October Update

October sees the start of a new beginning with Casey just finishing recording a bunch of new tracks which will all be set for release in the coming few months. Casey has been lucky enough to work with ARIA nominated producer Anthony Lycenko at 301 Studios who has worked with everyone from Pete Murray, The Beautiful Girls, George, Pty Ltd and David Bowie - just to name a few. Stay tuned to the website for the exact release dates which will be very soon

Casey has been fortunate enough throughout the 2011 AFL season to perform at each of the Gold Coast Suns home games with his band. September 3 will be the final home game with the Suns taking on Hawthorn at Metricon Stadium where Casey will be doing a very special pre-release performance of one of his brand new tracks called 'With Me'

November Update

Very exciting news with Casey set to perform one of his brand new tracks called 'The Light' with his full band this coming Sunday the 13th of November on Weekend Sunrise on channel 7! This will be a special pre-release performance with the track set to come out early in 2012 so make sure you tune in Sunday morning around 7:40am for an exclusive first ever live performance.

After a busy 2011 Casey is very excited about the fact that he has just finished working on a brand new release with ARIA nominated producer Anthony Lycenko which will be set to come out in early 2012. The potential first single off the album (‘The Light’), co-written by Casey and song writing partner Mark Duckworth is an uplifting anthem highlighting the fact that life is not a dress rehearsal and to make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.
